They Shot Pictures Ep #13: Johnnie To

In this episode of They Shot Pictures, I am joined by my friends Sean and Jhon and we set about trying to construct an unified understanding on prolific Hong Kong filmmaker, Johnnie To. As big fans of the filmmaker, we’ve watched and enjoyed not only his action films which are primarily what he’s most well-known for in the West but also his romantic comedies and others that cross genre boundaries and remain somewhat unclassifiable. We discuss in detail the films My Left Eye Sees Ghosts, Exiled and Throw Down.

Sean blogs about films and of late, about several films and filmmakers discussed on this here podcast on his blog. He is also on twitter as @theendofcinema. Jhon is also on twitter as @cruyffbedoom.
